The Jenny Lin Foundation was incorporated in 1994 after the tragic and brutal murder of Jenny Lin, a talented and well-loved fourteen-year-old girl. As a non-profit organization, the foundation's mission is to promote child safety and youth music education. The foundation sponsors many music and safety events which benefit the East Bay communities, including the free youth music camp and concert, scholarships for young musicians, safety awareness education, and more.

News and Upcoming Events

Jenny's 18th anniversary service followed by a candlelight walk is being scheduled on May 25, 2012, 6:30 PM, at the Castro Valley Library on 3600 Norbridge Avenue in Castro Valley.  The purpose of the service is to remind the public of Jenny's tragic murder, which remains unsolved, and also to raise the awareness of child safety.  In conjunction with the anniversary service, the Jenny Lin Foundation is setting up a safety awareness table at the Castro Valley Library to display child safety information materials for two weeks around Jenny's anniversary.

The 2012 Jenny Lin Music Camp - This program is scheduled from June 18 to July 27. Space is still available, but don't wait till the last minute to enroll as we may need to close enrollment due to capacity limitation.  Rehearsals will be held at Canyon Middle School in Castro Valley, every Monday and Wednesday from 6:45 PM to 9:00 PM, except July 4.  To enroll, please click  Enroll.

The 2012 Jenny Lin Summer Youth Concert will be held on July 27, 7 PM, at Redwood Chapel Auditorium on 19300 Redwood Road in Castro Valley.  The concert will feature young musicians throughout the East Bay in Band, Orchestra and Chorus.  We are very honored to have Ms. Cheryl Jennings, ABC7 News Anchor, as the Master of Ceremonies for the Concert.

Flea Market Fundraising for the Jenny Lin Youth Music Program is tentatively scheduled for July 14, but it's not too early to start thinking about what items you can donate to the Foundation for the worthy cause.  Please contact Stephanie Boyle if you would like to donate items.
